Mikey Morgan

Mikey is a passionate and dedicated football coach who brings a unique blend of playing experience, resilience, and energy to Extra Time AFC. Having started playing football at the age of four, Mikey has built a strong foundation through grassroots football before progressing into professional academy environments.

He has previously been part of several EFL clubs, including Swansea City, Newport County, and Cheltenham Town, gaining valuable experience in high-performance environments during his early development. His journey has also taken him overseas, where he spent time at Spanish club Cultural Leonesa, as well as playing in New Zealand’s top tier with Melville United. Most recently, Mikey has competed in English non-league football with Weymouth FC, further developing his understanding of the game at a senior level.

Through his journey, Mikey has experienced both the highs and challenges that come with football, which has shaped his strong mindset, work ethic, and determination to continue progressing in his own career. These experiences allow him to relate closely to young players and support them through their own development pathways.

Alongside his playing career, Mikey is now focused on building his coaching journey, with a clear passion for helping young players grow in confidence, develop their technical ability, and enjoy their football. His approachable nature and enthusiasm create a positive learning environment where players feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.
